CHAPTER 42

[The scene cuts to the unknown figure feeling a shiver. The other villains were nearby.]

MALOMYOTISMON:
My lord!

APOCALYMON:
What seems to be the problem now?

???:
It feels that the energy in the dark atmosphere is interfered with foreign power.

[The figure watches the heroes fighting the mindless, revived enemies.]

???:
It appears that a mysterious power source has caused all those Digimon digivolve to their strongest forms. Their fight against Reapermon would end quicker than I imagined.

LUCEMON:
What shall we do?

KING DRASIL:
We can’t expose ourselves.

???:
No need to fear. I’ll let Reapermon know and he’ll bring me the source while those oblivious fools keep on fighting.

APOCALYMON:
What about our armies?

???:
When the time comes, they will suffer.

[The scene cuts back to the battle where the camera was scrolling through each group of heroes fighting each revived villain. Reapermon was watching from the outside.]

REAPERMON:
This is unacceptable- *feels a shiver* What? ...Understood.

[Reapermon senses Calumon within the fight as he leaps in.]

CALUMON:
Huh?

REAPERMON:
The foreign power source is mine!

[Reapermon grabs Calumon and runs off.]

CALUMON:
Help me...!

[Gallantmon sees Reapermon running off.]

ARRESTERDRAMON:
What the-?

GALLANTMON:
He’s got Calumon!

TAI:
He’s got getting away that easy!

MIKEY:
Let’s get him!

ANKYLOMON:
You guys go on ahead.

SAKUYAMON:
We'll keep fighting these bozos.

DAVIS:
Okay.

ALDAMON:
Be careful.

[The legendary heroes (plus Ken) were chasing after Reapermon and Calumon.]

CALUMON:
(nervous) Excuse me, Mr. Reapermon. I don’t need to be rude or anything. But, where are you taking me?

REAPERMON:
Oh, I’m taking you to a special place where you’ll have fun for all eternity.

CALUMON:
I don’t like the sound of that. Even if it sounds convincing.

[ShineGreymon and Imperialdramon suddenly block Reapermon’s path. Reapermon tries to escape but WarGreymon and Gallantmon block the second path. As he tries the next path, SuperShoutmon and Arresterdramon block as well.]

REAPERMON:
What is this? A block party?

ALDAMON:
Atomic Inferno! *fire fireball missiles*

[Reapermon jumps away to avoid the move and readies himself in a fighting stance.]

REAPERMON:
Nobody moves or the marshmallow gets it.

CALUMON:
Gets what? Is it a present? I love presents!

REAPERMON:
Quiet!

TAI:
Leave him alone!

DAVIS:
Dude, what’s the big idea? We were just having a huge battle with your undead friends and suddenly you take the little guy?

REAPERMON:
That's none of your concern.

GALLANTMON:
The only thing concerning us is that you’re hiding something.

ALDAMON:
Start talking!

MARCUS:
*crackles knuckles* Or we'll have to crush your face, numbskull.

REAPERMON:
If you want this child, you'll have to defeat me first.

RICKY:
No prob. We can handle you even while your zombie friends over there get defeated.

REAPERMON:
Your allies are a nuisance. They will be outnumbered once you encounter the unknown threat.

MIKEY:
Just shut up already! We all had a hard journey coming here! Either start this fight or just keep on blabbering...bonehead!

REAPERMON:
...You will be the first gone. Bone Duster!

[Reapermon launches flames from his right arm at Mikey but Gallantmon protects him with his shield.]

MIKEY:
Thanks, guys.

REAPERMON:
Beginner's luck.

WARGREYMON:
Great Tornado! *spins into a tornado*

[Reapermon blocks the tornado with his scythe.]

REAPERMON:
Any of you mortals have a weapon strong as mine?

MARCUS:
We have!

[Marcus summons the GeoGrey Sword out of his Digivice to ShineGreymon.]

SHINEGREYMON:
Shall we?

REAPERMON:
I insist.

[ShineGreymon and Reapermon were clashing with their weapons. Gallantmon brought Calumon to safety.]

GALLANTMON:
Are you all right, Calumon?

CALUMON:
I think so.

RICKY:
Dude, he’s distracted! I can nail him!

MIKEY:
Rick, wait!

ARRESTERDRAMON:
Anchor Tail!

[Reapermon senses Arresterdramon approaching with his attack.]

REAPERMON:
Grim Slasher!

[Reapermon slices at Arresterdramon through hypersonic speed.]

RICKY:
What?!

KEN:
His move was in full speed like a surprise ninja attack.

MIKEY:
*runs and tries to grab him* Rick!!

RICKY:
Hey! What’s the big idea, man?!

MIKEY:
The big idea is YOU!! Ever since the beginning of this journey, you’ve been acting like a big shot! It’s like YOUR adventure! In fact, you don’t even care about us!

RICKY:
What?! I respect you guys! I helped you out all the time!

MIKEY:
What about our semi-final match?!

[A flashback shows the game before the events where Mikey was signaling to Ricky. Ricky didn't pay attention and tries to throw it in the basket. But, the other team player knocks it off him.]

RICKY:
I was trying to help us win the game!

REAPERMON:
Grim Slasher!

[Reapermon was sprinting to Mikey.]

SUPERSHOUTMON:
Look out!

[SuperShoutmon guards Mikey and punches off that move.]

MIKEY:
You were supposed to pass it to me! It’s called teamwork!

RICKY:
Training was hard for me! I deserve some credit for once!

MIKEY:
You already got credit when you hunted Quartzmon!

MARCUS:
Guys, quit arguing!

REAPERMON:
Grim Slasher!

[Imperialdramon tries to claw the attack but gets minimal damage.]

IMPERIALDRAMON:
Oh, we just got these sharpened!

RICKY:
I’m doing the best I can! Why are you being pushy all of a sudden?!

MIKEY:
We’re supposed to be a team!!

REAPERMON:
(Yes...keep on bickering.)

[The Digimon keep on attacking Reapermon but he keeps shifting to avoid them.]

RICKY:
A team?! That attitude of yours isn’t helpful! I can take care of myself from almost anything!

MIKEY:
Even THIS?! *tackles Ricky down*

TAI:
Mikey!

RICKY:
Yeah! If THAT happens, I would do THIS!

[Ricky throws sand into Mikey’s eyes.]

DAVIS:
Rick!

RICKY:
Hungry?! There’s more sand with your name on it, “teammate”!!

MIKEY:
That does it!!

[Mikey and Ricky were wrestling each other.]

SUPERSHOUTMON:
Mikey, stop!

ARRESTERDRAMON:
You two need to quit it!

[Aldamon was clashing with Reapermon.]

ALDAMON:
We’re all in a middle of a fight!

[Reapermon knocks off Aldamon and Calumon was acting scared.]

GALLANTMON:
He keeps getting stronger by the minute.

[Reapermon stops and stands for a moment in silence.]

WARGREYMON:
Huh?

KEN:
Why did he stop?

[As Mikey was about to punch Ricky, they both notice what’s happening. After a moment, they heard a light sound of laughing.]

SHINEGREYMON:
What’s that sound?

[Reapermon’s laugh grew evil and louder than before.]

ALDAMON:
What’s so funny?!

REAPERMON:
*laughs* Your two friends’ negative feelings have given me strength to perform my ultimate move.

TAI:
I don’t like the sound of that.

[Repaermon slowly starts spinning.]

RICKY:
Is he...spinning?

[Reapermon spun faster and faster until flames appear around him. The flames then grew from in a huge cyclone.]

MIKEY:
What is THAT?!

REAPERMON:
My ultimate move...Burning Cyclone!!

[The fast, fiery cyclone was absorbing the field and destroying it to nothingness.]

REAPERMON:
My move is very powerful that none shall escape!

MARCUS:
He’s destroying everything!

DAVIS:
Including us if he doesn’t stop!

[The group was holding tight on the ground to avoid being sucked in. Mikey tries to hang on to something but gets pulled in.]

SUPERSHOUTMON:
Mikey, I’m coming!

[SuperShoutmon tries to save Mikey but gets hit a flying rock.]

ARRESTEDRAMON:
Your Majesty!

[Ricky took a moment when he saw Mikey and SuperShoutmon getting pulled in.]

TAI:
Ricky, what’re you doing?!

[Ricky thought up something like there was a change in him.]

RICKY:
Arresterdramon, save the King. I’m going in after Mikey.

GALLANTMON:
What?!

SHINEGREYMON:
You’ll get sucked in!

[Ricky glares at the others. Within a moment, the others were forced to agree as well as Arresterdramon. Arresterdramon hold tight to the ground and pulls SuperShoutmon off  to a safe distance. Ricky carefully hangs onto a rock and sees Mikey almost to the cyclone. He grabs and pulls Mikey as hard as he can. After that, Mikey was saved.]

DAVIS:
Hey, that was brave. But…HOW’RE WE SUPPOSED TO DEFEAT REAPERMON!?!

RICKY:
As a team. We must combine our attacks inside the cyclone. It should overpower Reapermon to defeat him.

TAI:
...Let’s try.

REAPERMON:
Legendary heroes! Surrender or suffer from my maximum power!

[The cyclone was spinning at maximum speed and become stronger.]

ALDAMON:
It’s getting stronger!

GALLANTMON:
It’s pulling us in!

RICKY:
Not for long! Attack...NOW!!!

WARGREYMON:
Terra Force!

IMPERIALDRAMON:
Positron Laser!

GALLANTMON:
Lighting Joust!

ALDAMON:
Solar Wind Destroyer!

SHINEGREYMON:
Glorious Burst!

SUPERSHOUTMON:
Victory Blast!

[All of their attacks were sucked inside the cyclone. The cyclone was overpowered by the attacks’ energy.]

REAPERMON:
...Wait...what’s this? No! I can’t control my attack under all this energy!!

[The cyclone was overspinning and energy was building up.]

REAPERMON:
No one has been able to conjure up a move like THAT! How come this is possible?!

RICKY:
Because Reapermon, we fight as a team.

[The cyclone was starting a meltdown.]

ARRESTERDRAMON:
It’s going to explode!

RICKY:
We gotta get out of here!

[As the group moves far out of distance, the cyclone resulted in a huge explosion. Reapermon’s scythe was dropped to the ground and disappeared. The scene cuts to the others fighting the revived Digimon. Suddenly, the revived Digimon stopped moving and started disappearing into fragments of data.]
